Just getting back into to DAOC from a long break (6 years or so). I remember the way to get master levels was by going out into TOA and getting big raids together. I don't think that's how it's done anymore, except for ML10, i believe. Is there a guide to starting them, gaining them, and getting to ML10 now? I just need a little help with how to go about doing that and possibly the champion level stuff that I never did. I just keep seeing the tips in game that i should start that stuff earlier now. thanks

You can buy them with Bounty Points you get from RvR (NPCs are in the Hall Of Heroes in ToA).. or you can do the actual ML steps like in the old days, only difference is that they are now dumbed down so much that you can do them with less than a full group.

The old ToA info site is still up at http://www.daoc-toa.net/ --- but it hasn't been updated, so most of it still assumes the difficulty level from way back.


edit: to start ML's you need to be at least level 40.. port to the Halls Of Heroes (port Oceanus, then run up the hill to port to Halls Of Heroes) and click on the Arbiter NPC, this will start the ML path.

You can also buy ML's with Atlantean Glass, although I calculated that you need 21,675 to get to be ML9. The best option is to see who is selling ML's, which on Mid costs about 10 plat for the lot.

I found the best way to get the MLs for a returning player with limited funds is via towers/keeps captures. Just join the zerg when you see some siege action.

And to help you get the plat.. try to play the market (but usually it takes money to make money).. or do the Darkness Rising quest path... boring as hell, but that quest line will net you some nice plat... or go on an ML10 raid and hope to win something that sells for alot (just be careful that the BG leader isn't one known to rip off people)

Lastly.. don't forget that you also earn gold just by doing RvR... you get 38g per kill.

Wait... you said "Selling ML's". Did you mean selling the Glass that buys the ML's, or that you can actually buy a Master Level now?

You can buy the glass, or buy the MLs by getting someone with bounty points to buy the credits and trade them to you.
