I know the majority of the population left are mainly RvR's, but I know there are some out there who like both PvE material and RvR, and some who prefer PvE.

I'm making this post because I feel there is a lot of things to do in daoc, but after a while it has gotten pretty boring.

Crafting: Meh, people have a lot of crafters. Put on some music, sit in town, wait for the bar to finish enough times and you're done.

PvE: People can only take so much of killing dragons, running through catacombs, farming scales, aurulite,salvage, etc. Oh, and leveling. Also, the questing system could use some work. (could add some epic quest that will give people items they will actually use)

Making plat: Salvage, buy low sell high,farm scales, sell items from certain events, or from mobs that nobody hardly ever kills.(The reason people hardly ever kill these mobs should be addressed)


RvR - Want to add some new abilities and procs? (Yeah, I know people aren't gonna like that, lol)

I think the non RvR side of the game has lost a bit of the a "whoa"

Ideas: I said simple in the tile, but I know nothing about programming, so this probably isn't simple at all.

Crafting: Since it's pretty easy to get MP's now, another aspect to the crafting system could be added.

Example: Any MP weapon has a certain chance to have Special properties. The weapon will remain a normal crated weapon until a certain NPC unlocks the special properties of the weapon.

Special properties may include things like: (note these are just brainstormed ideas, that weren't thought through, feel free to add your own)

"The wielder of this weapon receives 15% less Realm Points, but in exchange, this weapon has a 10 sec proc that will temporarily reverse the effects of DoT spells" <---- basically means dots will heal you for 10 sec if that proc goes off, but you receive 15% less RP's from kills.

Or "The wielder of this weapon has a 5% chance to be revived after death, but beware, there is a small chance this weapon can bring misfortune to the user"

Perhaps people will spend more money on crafting trying to get some of these special weapons, oh and. They special weapons should have a unique skin, maybe the of the throwback glowie skins will work? (ellyl sword, toad bane, etc)

And these special properties should apply to more than just WC. Other ideas should be thought of for alch,and SC.

PvE: How about an arena?

Basically the arena will be made so participants, can either participant as a solo combatant, in a group, or a BG.

The rewards for people in the BG's will be greater.

In order to enter the arena people will have to get an entrance ticket that will vanish after 3 hours, and the person can't get another ticket for X amount of time. After the group leader, or BG leader interacts with the "Arena master" those not in the group, or BG will be kicked from the zone, and not allowed to enter until the battle is finished. After the battle starts those who are participating will receive another tickets which will allow them to re enter in case of LD.

If the participants win the battle, all players in the zone will receive special keys that will give them a random item. Rewards will range from lower tier to upper tier. People in a BG will receive more keys.As far as the items go, they should be unique to the battle arena, and none of the rewards should be shitty. Can range from special potions to upper tier weapons/equips. Also, people would be able to sell the keys on their CM if they want to.

Quest: eh, should just add some epic quest with worthwhile rewards.


Umm, I guess this doesn't sound simple at all.

i am not a fan of adding new loot to a pvp game this old without an expansion to go with it.

but i wouldnt mind something like mixing both pve and pvp to gain top end items.

what if you added new craftable loot like they did with dragonslayer.

you do a chain a quests to gain the knowlege to make these new items. then you have to do some farming of materials like with certain pots and make the toa mats for leggys part of it also, i got like 100 vials of water just sitting there because i have no use for them <.<

so you make this wep, finnally get a MP than what?

you get told theres a quest to furthur enhance the thing! shnazy~

so you run out to nf where if you get 10 solo kills or 25deathblows or 100 kills you can convert MP item X into its ml10 equilivient~ that way zergers cant cry that its to hard to get solo kills or whatever

the quest will start once you hold an mp item of these, so you can xfer or buy them off housing. this will drive down ml10 loot prices and make crafters some cash, without literally just farming glass or scales while afk and getting shit for free basiclly~


the quest chain can be as long as the old dragonslayer quests also so people can start up bgs and what not like the (not too) old days~
