and limit free accounts to rvr and classic content only. Since you really need the expansions to be competitive, most people would still pay. This would get new/old plyers into the game for long enough to get them hooked and paying.

The new players would make up for loss of paid buffbot accounts. IMO this is one of the few methods of breathing significant life back into daoc. The game is old and this seems like a more and more appropriate step each passing year. Thoughts?

That means making a whole new server and I don't see them bringing in a new server. Gaheris or Mordred would honestly be their best bet for a free server with the way things are going with the state of the game. I mean, no offense to either of those. I liked playing on Gaheris for awhile, it got me away from all the drama-filled NF stuff. But, I honestly don't see them making a f2p server. Eventually, as the game dies more, i'm sure itll get changed to f2p overall...

Mordred being f2p would be sweet.

If they every do any sort of "endless trial" program, should be players can level to 24, only use level 1-25 gear.

Make PvE free to play instead. And make RvR P2P with new OP items every week that you can buy for $20

If you're going to make it free (no monthly sub), just make it all the way free (with a reasonable cash shop). Half measures are pointless.

RvR is suppose to be the end game these days in daoc... you dont give away your end game content for free...

if they allowed free accounts they'd have to be limited to level 19, and recieve no RPs/BPs
