Thunderbird 5.0 released

I see a headline that Thunderbird 5.0 was recently released. And I go check what version I'm running. 3.11. What the hell, how did I get so far behind?
Well, turns out, I wasn't. They just skipped the number 4 all together and jumped straight to 5, so that it can use the same version numbers as Firefox and it'll also be on the rapid development schedule.
So we can look forward to Firefox and Thunderbird 9.0 before Christmas.

Just a word of warning. I had to roll back all the upgraded Thunderbird's in my organization. For some odd reason, it was not recognizing that some emails had attachments. When I rolled back to 3.11 it magically saw the attachments again. I have no idea why it saw some and not others, I don't see any open tickets regarding it. Both the visible and invisible emails with attachments stored them as base64 and they were PDF files. So.. Until that's figured out I just wanted to pass on the warning.
