There's a couple different ways that I know of.
1. Farm scales. (Dartmoor in Albion. Kill granite giants, dragonsworn mobs and dragons. You can also get xanxicar scales off any mob in Avalon City. A lot - maybe all - mobs in the labyrinth drop scales as well. Draco drops scales, 100 per kill I think.) Scales dropped in different zones have different names and stack differently in your backpack but are interchangable when you trade them in - e.g. one molted dragon scale = one molted xanxicar scale. Once you get enough scales you trade them into the particular npc in your realm that does those trades. In Albion, it is Trishy. She is in Camelot, in fountain square near the lone minstrel trainer. You trade them in for a particular stone that costs 150 scales. I can't remember what the stone is called. But it will be on the last page and cost 150 scales. You can trade each stone in for a seperate piece of armor. So if you want 6 pieces, you need 6 stones, which will cost 900 scales. (Someone correct me if these numbers are wrong, because 900 sounds like a lot. But thats 150x6.) You must be level 50 to buy stuff off of Trishy. Once you have the stones you must go to dartmoor and trade the stones to Los Ortiz for armor pieces. You give him a stone, he gives you a selection of armor pieces to choose from that suit your class's armor requirements. I think you have to have good faction with the grimspound guards to get the dragonslayer armor pieces from Los Ortiz, but maybe they just have to be neutral.
2. The quest method. To do this method you just have to complete a series of quests, some of which are difficult and require a full group. Start off by talking to Koz in Grimspound, do his quests. They are easy and dont take too long. No problem to do them solo if you are in the upper 40s, probably even lower 40s. His quests will result in neutral faction with the grimspound guards. Next do Gertrude Madoch's quest - road to grimspound - until you have friendly faction with the grimspound. I've heard you have to do it about 20 times if you've never killed any giants before. Her quest is simple and easy. Go kill 5 giants and report back to her. Once you get friendly faction, you have to do a History In Stone quest from an npc who is standing next to Gertrude Madoc. This is a fairly difficult quest. Most non-temped players will find it difficult to do this one solo. A full group and roll through it quite quickly. It involves killing about 20 grape giants. Once you've finished this quest, you get a quest to kill Moran the Mighty. I cant remember who gives this quest, but its someone in the Grimspound cave. Moran the Mighty is at the far SE corner of Dartmoor. He's just a higher level granite giant. A full group should kill him easily. Lastly you have to kill the little dragons. There are 4 of them. This is a difficult but certainly doable quest for 1 full group, but a few extra people on the side helps. This is a battle group credit quest, so if you have more than 8, but form a battle group and all will get credit. Once you kill all for mini-dragons, report back to Los Ortiz and he gives you all 6 pieces of slayer armor.
Im sure Ive left some things out. Anyone can feel free to throw in corrections. Good luck getting that armor. Its really not too tough to get and is generally some great armor. Tons of people use different pieces of it in their temps.
