Bought a spiffy +duration ROG ring off a CM, built a template around it, put it all together and ..."the magic of the blah blah wrap fails to affect you."


Silly me for thinking a ring created by the game that says it can be used by a level 50 player could be used by a level 50 player. I guess I should have checked that bonus level way at the bottom that said "Bonus level 51" - fine, my bad.


Anyway, is there a way to get it fixed through an appeal or is that beyond the powers of a CSR and I am stuck re-templating?

I believe it will work if you're CL10 and RR 5+. Atleast thats how it works with 16.5 weapons.

nope enjoy your unusable rog,i have a few of em that were lev 50 then when mythic redid the armor bonuses they jacked em to lev 51 (unusable) a csr told me theres nothing that can be done

Loth - After years of reading these boards, I somehow knew you'd be first to respond. I have to admit, I laughed a bit myself when I realized what I'd done. Been gone too long and re-upped last week when I got some free time, so I am a more than a bit rusty.


Death - I just tried it on a RR 5 CL10 ML10 alt - no luck, but good idea. (Zoning didn't work either, like it does for some crafted armor for Molvik toons.)


Zyg - nice bonus level 52 ring. Hope you didn't spend as much as I did on mine. (Although if you could use it the staff skill would eventually become useless when the ring couldn't be repaired anymore if that is still in the code. Mine just had 50+ in stats, some resists and nice duration, so I thought it would last forever and make a nice minstrel template.) Zyg has the record. Can anyone top that with a bonus level 53 item?


Come on Mythic, give your CSR's the ability to fix items that are utterly unusable by anyone. (I know it's wishful thinking, but I still have to ask.) At the very least, Mythic, run a search and remove all unusable items from CMs - or make them untradeable - otherwise unscrupulous people will have these items floating around forever.

That no longer applies to crafted gear for Molvik. One of the few beneficial effects of the Bonus Level changes.

Good to know. I remember doing max SC overcharges on a Molvik suit, not having the SC appear to work and then having it work after zoning - ahhhh memories - almost as fun as neck checks, Lyonesse tree queues and running wood to the relic keeps... OK, I actually did enjoy the realm spirit in rebuilding a relic keep and trying to bankrupt the opposing realm - twisted of me, I know.

I didn't pay for it, I received it as a drop so it's pretty much just a novelty for me. Kind of humorous seeing all of those bonuses on one item.

ROG level 51's are very rare. That's the only 52 I've ever seen. I've probably generated tens of thousands of ROG over the course of my playing (I use them pretty heavily in templates, and did a *lot* of key/afrit farming), and could probably count the 51's on one hand.
