Yeah I think I'm done with daoc lol. I looked everywhere for the "red cancel button" that the daoc wiki site tells me to go to and it's no where to be found. Anyone have a similar problem?

I am not positive as I have not read any announcements from EA, but I believe the following is what has happened.

If the Cancel button does not show up, it is supposed to mean that your account is already canceled.

Evidently when account information was shifted (just this last week when billing was taken down) from Mythic to EA, the billing (credit card) information was not moved over (for security reasons). This means that account-billing info for all DAoC accounts does not exists at EA.

With no credit card/debit card/etc. . . information at EA, all of the DAoC accounts are technically set as “canceled” until the customer once again sets up billing.

Once an account is set as canceled the “Cancel” button no longer appears.

According to what I have read, your account should run to the end of whatever billing cycle you set up and then stop. If you had one month left then you have to the end of that billing cycle to keep playing. If you had a 3-month cycle with 2 months left, then you have 2 months to continue playing before your account closes.

It would be nice if EA/Bioware actually sent out emails or posted on the Herald to inform customers what is happening. I guess it is still typical Mythic (Mushroom Farmers) no matter who runs things.

I can confirm what Semi posted. Even before Mythic transferred billing to EA, it was mythic's policy to not have a cancel button on accounts already set to cancel. I got flustered about it shortly after the billing fiasco last year, and found the above to be true.

I know, I mean, they have my email, my back up email. My mother's maiden name. The name of my first pet. Where I graduated. My age, my sex, where I was born. Marital status. And the flaming longitude and lattitude quordinates of where I LIVE. And we can't even get a heads up in the form of a " by the way...."?

I've given out less personal information to buy a house! And I can't stop all the crap and junk mail I get from the banks now with what little information they had. Mythic has enough information to have me cloned, and they could tell my clone wtf was up so he could telepathically relay that information to me. But no. We can't even get a generic automatically generated email.

At least nothing has changed. You gotta give it to em for being consistent.

people who cannot cancel are still getting their credit cards charged. LOL. I smell a lawsuit. If you want a lawyer, let me know. I know some who would love to go after these guys.

No you dont. You are a pathetic loser that trolls message boards related to a game you no longer play and actively hate on every chance you get because the game didnt go in a direction you wanted it to.

Suck it up, get over it, MOVE THE F^#K ON ALREADY.

Hahaha. Someone is clearly upset! Reported for language! My messages was a public service announcement. Hate on is horrific grammar.
