You do not state if your webroot version has only antivirus or if it has a firewall.
Also, is Norton still installed but shut off or did you completly uninstall Norton? You need to uninstall Norton or it can still block access to some/most ports. Even after you uninstall Norton you may still need to use the
Norton Uninstall Tool to ensure your system is Norton free.
It sounds like your firewall (or old parts of Norton) may be blocking web access to the game camelot.exe or to a game .dll file. I am not familiar with webroot. There should be a way for you to tell your firewall what programs it should 'allow'. You need to put the Camelot.exe and .dlls on the 'allow' list.
I agree with you getting rid of Norton because on at least 2 occasions a fully updated Norton allowed a virus/trojan to gain access to my system and did not inform me. It was erratic operation that caused me to investigate and find that the computer was infected.
Then there was one occasion where Norton found an error on my HDD and asked if I wanted the error corrected. When I clicked “Yes†to the repair, Norton fixed things without telling me what it was going to do and without telling me what it did (when I clicked Yes I fully expected to be given an undo file or to be told what the error was and to verify I really wanted the error fixed). Norton simply said, “Error fixed†(or some such thing) and moved on. I did not realize that there was a problem until I later rebooted and found that Norton set the boot record of the 80GB HDD to 18 GB (or something dramatically different from what it was supposed to be) and the data on my HDD was unreadable. I hate Norton and applaud you getting rid of it.
