Been running those BG quests (stupidly fast XP) and I have yet to be doing them by myself. Always been at least one group doing the quests and I found a guild within like 3 minutes. Everyone I have encountered has been very helpful.

this is true. got a grp and we all together got up to molvik from level 10ish in about 3 hours. just split up and 3/3/2 to kill all the quest things at once. from there someone invited me to their alb guild and they seem like nice people. ill prob stay in that guild on my pve toons~

This is practically the exact same thing that happened to me on hib. I have no idea where all these "returned but turned off by the community" threads are coming from.

I think that most people have trouble when they return with their level 50 and geared toon wanting to jump into RvR or endgame type PvE. The community does seem pretty closed off at that point.


Sure you'll have different results if you start over and focus on one toon leveling up, but in my experience that guild you joing in the BG's won't be around a month from now.

i find that most people who are having problems just stems from themself. I saw someone asking where the 20-30 TD was and i strongly encouraged them to instead do the bg quests and offered invite, and they laughed in my face and said it was a stupid idea risking constant deaths. They were right, I got ganked 4 times in thid before 24 and once more en route to 29. Even still, they were lvl 22 when i was 30

Depends on your realm. Alb/mid you can find usually at least 1 other person. Hib it can be hit or miss.


Also, my only real complaint is the god damn bogs. I hate doing the quests where you have to kill things in the swamps/bogs because they can BAF easy, some are insanely hard to see (and thus you run into aggro range of 3-5 reds or higher) and the slow moving things is just dumb. It adds nothing to the game except annoyance.


All in all though the BG quests are smexy. Granted I have tried the new ones they added for the higher BGs.

They need to add them to Leirvik and Cathal Valley, bad. I played Cath on my Valk this weekend and actually made about 20k rps in a few hours just fighting people. Also went 47 to 49 on my Bainshee in a just a couple hours grinding mobs... but the quests would really get more people in there.

As for the community, I regularly see smaller groups doing these quests. But I see even more people spamming that they just came back to the game and are lfg for the level 40-50 task dungeons and whatnot.
