I was thinking of spending my night farming scales and/or glass, and was thinking where the optimal spot for this would be.


Using bot+sm w/ ml9, where would be the optimal place to solo-farm glass for example? Im thinking of spots which would include afrits in the close proximity, and possibly elementals, to drop of and kill whenever possible.


Do YOU have any favorite place where you spend your time farming? Please share :-) Myself i have found it ok to roam for afrits in green glades while killing of the oj/red centaurs with the ml9-pet hitting for shitloads. I use a gorgon maiden for this. (Tho i guess the sally is needed if you intend to do master afrits, i stick to normal tho.) The maiden is well enough for normals, but cant take too much of a beating.

i looove farming colossals... thusia nesos is okay if you are an archer.. but focus pulling not so much.

chan and friends sometimes drop nice things.. belt of heavenly bodies and stardrops which is great for bots.

if you are totally crazy and have tons of time, you can try to farming the statues in ancient kings. lethos has a chance to drop bracer of heavenly bodies which is great for a lot of templates.

i do a whole run though...i start at oceanus hesperos.. go after Orion's Belt and Gem of Lost memories.. both drop 100 glass each.
Then I run to Land of Atum/Stygia to farm Colossals. Then I head to ancient kings and go after lethos. then i rinse and repeat.

Farmed in ml9 the other day with cabby for old time sakes.


i think if you want glass, the mobs in DV for faction drop stacks of glass and are easy with a cabby and bot.

Being a bit slow in the head about all old encounters and places, could you explain a bit where each spot is?


The colossals, thusia nesos, chan (isnt these the sphinxes in ml9?), ancients kings, lethos, Orion/Gem of lost.


I havent' farmed these for years so any help would be greatly appreciated. About ml-farming tho. Didnt they make it so artifact/ml-encounters doesnt drop stuff if no1 is getting the actual credit?

Colossals are located throughout Stygia Delta and Land of Atum. If you do /map, look for a group of clustered rocks. Wherever those are, you will will find scorpions. Colossal is the grape one and drops 200 glass i think.

Thusia Nesos. Just go to the sphinx and say Thusia Nesos. That'll port you to Typhon's Reach where you will find lots of named orange mobs worth master level experience. They each drop anywhere from 10-40 glass each. You can kill a bunch at a time with a ranged caster or an archer.

Chan are the ML9 sphinxes.. they take a long time and aren't really worth it.. except they have a chance to drop the Belt of Heavenly Bodies among other things worth about 1-2 plat. If you have done ML9 this is pointless and don't do it.

If you choose dungeons of atlantis from the djinn it'll name Ancient Kings. There you will find Lethos. There are a few grape snakes there and of course before you can get to Lethos, you need to kill the advisor closest to you. Draw aggro pull him to the ledge... leave your bot at ledge and your bot won't get aggro from spam heals.. he's tethered. Lethos is a bit trickier and requires a real tank or a focus caster. Even if you have this step done for ML9 you will still get a % chance to get Bracer of Heavenly Bodies... can be worth anywhere from 500gold to 5plat depending on the greediness of your realmmates.

I only feel like chasing Colossals + Thusia Nesos sounds like good cash that is then known to be constant. Think ill ding up my warlock and bomb through Thusia Nesos tbh. I wont be able to do Chan w/o my ML9-pet, and with it he wont drop anything, so :-) He hits for shittrunks too, doesnt he :o I find it sad that so few ML-encounters are farmable anymore, its kinda boring to farm afrits for their drops, instead of farming the bosses themselves. Id much rather they put a really high respawn-timer so the bosses are kill-able but with a 12-hours respawn or someth. Are there any bosses that are like Lethos and still drops some loot even tho you have their ml-step done? Seems wierd that none other then Lethos would still drop some loot even with steps complete...

For Scale farming, I'd go to the stone circle in southeast Malmo where the purple Drakulvs are. It's a relatively popular spot, but you'll be able to chain farm them with ML9 pet and it's easy. I could make at least 5p per hour worth of scales, alch drops, and salvage loot.

Don't need focus shield to kill them, just ML9 and nukes (get a level 50 2H drakulv axehand from western border of zone, south of town). You'll never run out of mobs here unless there are other groups, and at the edge of forest/stone circle you can sit AFK and be safe.
