I am a returning vet and had 14 free days to tool around with and have a question for current players. Is it worth it to resub??

Now I know from what I've read that they are not updating the game much or about the horrible website redesign, and I kinda care about that but i'm mostly just interested in the gameplay.

Is there tons of action in the frontiers? (I don't care about zergs, I look to find a guild and zerg myself.)

Is it hard to learn to navigate the new frontiers? I left after they released them.

I'm currently on mid leveling a new character, I have 3 50's there already. Are there good US guilds there? or are the other realms more US centric? (From wandering around towns I see alot of german guild names on mid)

Look for the scarlet knights guild

They're quite large and do nothing but mindless zerging

honestly go get a life and don't play DAOC. But if you have no life and just want to spend it on video games, then yes it is absolutely worth $30 a month to resub... money is not the issue IMO, and there are lots of people in RvR.

I say this because I don't really like bringing people back to DAOC all that much, cuz ever since I came back to DAOC nothing has been getting done, and I have lots of stuff to do, and I often don't go out with friends cuz i'm busy playing.

meh, it can be fun if you have some friends to play with

if not, it will be frustrating.

The game is still great. I don't play often, just a few days in the week and sometimes I go a week or so without even playing. RvR is pretty crazy and with all the German influx, there's always action around the clock.

I don't play mid, but I'm sure there are tons of mids willing to recruit and if you like it, can't see why you'd not want to resub.. it's only 15 a month, or 30 if you have a bot and that easily replaces a night of magic the gathering.

I have the answer, Thidranki. It is still the single best rvr mmo on the market. Lots of action and lots of solo combat. Some losers are buffed and botting but for the most part everyone is there having fun goofing off and killing each other with great glee. Its the most balance this game has ever had and how the game was originally designed.

This is quite true, but the original poster should be ware that many players have highly maximised. For example, many assassin characters have over 800 hit points when buffed. You will also encounter players who run both a healer/bard and shaman/druid bot so they have the spec AF or haste buff that their primary buffing class can't provide.

Some people spend over 40 platinum to assemble these templates, so beware that Thidranki isn't a proletarian utopia.

there's tons of action at certain hour and especially week-ends. Navigating in new frontiers si pretty easy: find the port stone in the keep yard and click on the keep with the white circle around it on your map to port to it, that's it.
