Well like several others, that darn Camelot itch just won't go away. However this time I am doing something a little different. I'm starting completely over in a realm i haven't played much (either hib or mid i haven't decided, probability mid). With that in mind I have a few questions:

1) When I last played, champion levels were just released. Do people still complete the CL quests for the weapon and unlock? If not, what's the best way to obtain this weapon as the dungeon is quite difficult without help (or is it even worth it to do it)?

2) I keep seeing reference to dragon armor / equipment. What exactly is this and how is it obtained?

3) When I last played, the optimal way to level was to grind in task dungeons. Is that still the preferred way or are there newer ways to level up more efficiently?

Also of note, I do have a buff bot account but haven't decided to re-sub it or not. I will if proven he is needed but I wanted to make sure first before i wasted the time and money on it.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance

1) Use dragonslayer weapon instead. They are almost identical to champion weapons. Get clxp from RvR and buy exp scrolls with bountypoints to speed up the process (and get your champion weapon at cl5 if you need it).

2) Dragonslayer armor and weapons can be achieved through a series of quests, or can be bought with "dragon scales" (which is how most people get them). Scales can be farmed from any mob in the dragon zone, or you can buy it in Housing. An npc in Jordheim/TNN will sell you essence stones which you can then turn in to the dragonslayer NPCs for armor/weapons. Armor is 150 scales per piece. Weapon is 500 scales.

3) Task dungeons are still okay, but there are also very nice quests in the battlegrounds, and at lvl 40+ is it common to do the repeatable quests, known as MTI (melting the ice) in mid, or wisps in hib.

As said in the previous most not many people use Champion level weapons (dragonslayer or ML10 items are preferred). There are a fair amount of ML10 raids that happen on mid, so you shouldn't have to worry too much. Til then, dragonweapons are just fine.

2) I keep seeing reference to dragon armor / equipment. What exactly is this and how is it obtained?

A lot of dragonarmor that might be mentioned is likely armor that is made by players. They provide small boosts to stats in addition to being spellcrafted. Much of the other items can be purchased via Draco Seals.

3) When I last played, the optimal way to level was to grind in task dungeons. Is that still the preferred way or are there newer ways to level up more efficiently?

Task dungeons are decent, but battlegrounds are far more efficient. You can do them from level 10 up until level 39. However, by next patch you'll be able to do the leirvik one as well.

There are buffbot NPC's in Labyrinth, in New Frontiers and by next patch.. in every battleground. They aren't as great as real buffbots, but they provide decent buffs and are superior to champion buffs. If you want to test the waters, I say try without a buffbot... but if you really are going hardcore, buffbot is nice for cure rez and the extra buff bonus /resists. They aren't a must for rvr as they once were, but absolutely helpful for pve farming.

All? or about all BGs have repeatable kill quests and the XP is high. Pickup groups in most BGs can level hellafast.

If you really want to grind away solo without thinking about it, task dungeons can't be beat.

Buffbots - the paid buffers are pretty good. bots are a pain. like the economy is so good now ya' wanna pay for two accounts?

Thanks for the assistance. Sorry for the long wait in a reply. This real life thing sucks sometimes. It does look like I will be going mid. I'm thinking either a valk, thane or a runie. Haven't decided which one yet. once I decide I'll be in banging away probably will be looking for a guild shortly after that.
