[locked for baiting]

I am always one to say DAOC needs this and DAOC needs that.

But its saying DAOC needs this nerfed and DAOC needs that nerfed that will cause a SWG to happen.

I'm not wanting to take away. I have only wanted them to add what is not already there.

Crying about what you want takin out and nerfed is a doom certain to come.

Balance is hard. Sometimes overpowered stuff gets added. It's far better to just nerf the one thing that is overpowered than to try to lift up a bunch of other things that are less powerful (usually resulting in one of the other things becoming overpowered in the process).

Where devs often go wrong is they use a nerf sledgehammer and nerf the overpowered thing all the way into underpoweredness. There's nothing wrong with making a small nerf in one patch then coming back in a future patch to make another small nerf if the first nerf wasn't enough, but for some reason devs rarely do it that way.

People are still crying about Warlocks being to powerful.

I think when they put the CD <--(that's Cool Down for those retarded) on the chamber releases, that killed their so called Overpoweredness.

As a gunny told a guy who was not wanting to go on a convoy.. Cry me a river, build a bridge and get the f*ck over it. Only posting you do is cry and complain. If you were a "ideal gamer" you would adapt to class imbalance not QQ about what to fix. Stop posting stupid threads.

I didn't always play MMO's, but when I did, I prefered DAOC.

A voice of reason, I never expected it This is what happens, and all too often. I have always maintained that the devs use these nerfs to convince people to roll up a new toon, and shift the population around. First they make an overpowered toon, or ability, watch as people reup or roll the new class, then nerf it in the hopes that more players will simply shift to another class rather than abandon the game.

There is nothing wrong with a balanced reduction in a class or ability, its smarter than raising everything else in the game to match - that only causes other problem. Its difficult for the person whose character is affected to see this of course, and it generates a lot of forum rage, but whatever. Its better to reduce the frustrations of a huge number of players who have to deal with some OPed aspect of the game than it is to deal with the frustration of a few people whose characters suddenly lose an IWIN button. Such a reduction is NOT a nerf. A nerf is the kind of over reaction you mentioned, sadly the devs do that on this game all to often.

If a class has 1 single feature that is so important its loss makes the class uninteresting to play, then that 1 element is probably overpowered.
