My daoc UI keeps resetting. Especially if I just let my game LD out. Or auto disconnect.

I'll come back, my game will no longer be full screen. And all my keys are reset.
And I'll be on like a tiny resolution

What causes this? Is there a fix?
Also what's the folder/file that I can copy for a back up so every time this happens I can just paste it back into the original directory (instead of changing all the keys again).

I don't know what originally caused it but if you make a change to your UI and then LD or disconnect without /quit it will not save your changes. So if something happened to screw your UI and settings up the first time and everyt ime you log in after that and fix them but get disconnected before you log out normally it won't save them. If that's the case would be good to get all your settings how you want and log all the way out and then back in before actually playing.

If you've done all that and its still doing it than I have no idea.

No. I log out normally sometimes. And I know what you mean by a complete log out is needed to save settings.

But I'm talking about EVERY SINGLE setting that I'd have for about a week or so, reset.

Edit: Oh yeah thanks, and do you know what file saves ever setting for my ui (key bindings, resolution, window mode, shadows, etc)?

Try this link, and backup your user.dat and (charactername).ini files. You can find them via this helpful link

I would recommend making two backup folders in your case; one made before and one made after each game session. That way, if the files are getting corrupted during login or after logout, you will have the correct version in the other folder.

Your problems may be anything, including bad video driver related (though I do not know how that would affect .ini files).

Good luck!
