And you," now he motioned at Malcolm, "stay with the healers and keep them clear. If anything gets near them, and I mean anything, it better be because you're dead." Wide-eyed and cowed, Malcolm and Kat hurried to comply with Andreas' orders, which were given in a tone that clearly implied that he wasn't saying them again. "ou, inconnu, stay with Landon." No'acu stared back at Andreas in confusion, but then ran over to the wizard, who was readying his own defensive spells.
"Aiden, pay attention. You're with me." Aiden wanted to resist the order purely out of spite. He'd brought everyone down here, he'd kept them alive, he'd been their leader. And he liked that feeling. It was redeeming for him. But suddenly Andreas shows up and he thinks he's still in charge? As if nothing had happened over the last three months? Aiden wanted to pummel the man, yet he still found himself moving to stand next to Andreas, if for no other reason than that the paladin was giving all the correct orders."
