Please Help me ! graphics issue.

So I am basically a returning player from many years ago. I did play for month about a year ago. And today when I logged back in, the loading screen was perfectly fine, Once I got to the toon/char selection screen... all the graphics became retarded and couldn't see anything. I also had enough time to pick my cleric and logged in, and inside the game as well, the graphics became all jacked up and I went LD. Now I've updated Direct X, my gfx card drivers ( Nvidia geforce GTS 450 ) also Im running on win 98 pro haha yeah I know its old. and the problem remains. Anyone know if Iam missing an update or what? thanks in advance!

Uninstall DAOC
Install Windows 7
Reinstall DAOC

Windows 98 pro? I didn't think Daoc supported it anymore.
Edit: You must mean Windows Xp pro?

yes, XP and 7 are good
just reinstall DAOC and see how that goes

Yes, they still support Windows Xp. Can you describe what the screen looks like when you load in? Is it a fractured screen, like spider web cracks or is it a multi image smear?
Also, when did you install Daoc?

i was looking at the requirements, and it said something about shader 2.0 or better, is that for windows? ive never heard of it.

That (shader 2.0) is not something you should be concerned with. Your video card (Nvidia geforce GTS 450) is supported and should run the game just fine.
You can try checking your video ram to see if there are any errors.
Try moving or renaming your user.dat file to test for possible corrupt settings that could be causing display problems.
Try using a video driver cleaner and reinstall the video drivers, then reinstall direct X.
From time to time, over the years, an existing driver can become corrupt. Try reinstalling your motherboard drivers, chipset drivers, etc. . . (even when it says the best driver is already installed, reinstall anyway.)
Do you play any other games? (just wondering if there are other things that use your 3D that are running fine.)
Edit: when was the last time you used some canned air to blow out the GPU/CPU heat sinks?
