Left the game not long ago, just wondering how the new patch is. Anything specific really appealing to anyone?

Massive ld's

Massive game.dll has stopped working.

People who can't login their characters (necromancers especially).

But the stacked potions are great when you are able to play.

I so need to get off fb and get on my alchemist and start crafting

hmm so is a reinstall actually working for most people then? I will certainly give it a shot if that's the case. Man that's gonna take a long time to download all the patches though, and then i gotta re-change all the keyboard controls. Not the end of the world cuz I know I can just put the .ign (qbar) files back in the folder. I'm curious though, in the folder with the quickbar data, there is always a number beside the characters name, what is this number for? Will it still work if I do a clean install of the whole game and copy and paste those back in? Perhaps the numbers refer to the character slot or something like that.

edit: nvm about the numbers. The ones on the configuration file represent the servers, ie. 41 is Hib Ywain1. Also I dunno what the .ign file is. Does the .ign file make reference to the configuration .txt file? Cuz in the configuration file there seems to be all the required information on IU layout and quickbar data.

The reinstalls did seem to work for me and I was having some serious issues. I couldn't go more than 15 mins without going ld. I just downloaded the file, then hit install before i went to bed. So, i didn't really sit through it all.

I'm not sure what the different files represent but I keep my ign and char ini files as well as the user dat file all on a memory stick. Makes loading the chars to both computers a lot easier, and I didn't have a prob with any of the toons after everything was reset.

I used to know where .ini files are but now I dunno. Yet these .txt files have all the quickbar information right in them. Well I'll make sure I know what i'm doing and can make it work before I reinstall. I am not gonna go through all that work of redoing every single qbar and ui layout again. I had to do that after I bought a new laptop cuz I left the game for a while and didn't back stuff up.

Btw, are you talking about 15 minutes until going Linkdead, as in losing connection, or the .dll error that everybody else has been getting? I have a ton of LD problems before the patch but it may have been related to my internet. Now after the patch I crash to desktop via .dll error and now its pretty much an average of every 15 minutes. In fact I crash 75% of the time when logging out, and just started to crash now 50% of the time logging in.

My ini files, ign, text and all are in the same spot...user/appdata/roaming/electronic arts/dark age of camelot/lotm

they couldn't make it symple and just say /daoc/text crap


and UI is updated but not really new

I may be one of the fortunate ones but the patch has been great for me. No lag or crashes whatsoever, in fact the game runs smoother than ever.

No problems with this patch whatsoever. Working just fine and yeah might even be a bit faster in some instances.
