This happened when i tried DLing it a few months ago as well. ive waited a few times this time.. and tried again. just to receive the same message. If anyone else has encountered this problem, and was able to get by it. please explain so i can play .

Since other people aren't having this issue, I suggest you:

1. Make sure you have enough disk space.
2. Don't have any files set to read-only in your game directory.
3. Make sure you aren't trying to patch the EU client - it's no longer supported.

yeah, i took down all fire walls.. cleared disc space.. didnt check if anything was "read only" tho. But it isnt the EU client. I also noticed this problem seems to only have happened to me, which is very strange. ty anyways

You are not alone .

Its a known error .

Maybe its your modem or router or even your FAI who doesn't authorize daoc .

Or your router has to be changed . Or unlock the adresses your router block .

Check too if your antivirus or windows xp firewall ( sometimes activ ) .

Etc ...

"Actually, it's an issue with your router. I switched my router out and it's working fine. For those that don't have a spare router, try updating your router's firmware, drivers, software.... anything you can."

"I had the exact same issue. Not sure how to best go around it. I may have to get a new router or something for a permanent solution.

MY (temporary) SOLUTION,

The eventual way I got around it (was kinda cheating I guess) but I got my friend to burn a direct copy of his files onto DVD .
