Greetings,

I am trying to find out who I need to get in touch with to get permission to use Bioware and Mythic Logos, character likenesses, etc. I am doing a project for my class currently that is involving such things, and I want to make sure if I post these publicly that I do so without infringing upon any copyright laws. These things may include character likenesses from the game (races, armor models, etc), Logos, names of places, anything really related to the Dark Age of Camelot IP. These will be included in the comic/animated series I'm making in flash.

If anyone knows, or a representative of Bioware Mythic can inform me of who to contact, please let me know.

If you don't earn money on them, don't worry about it. They can't do anything.

This may help. The new Herald does not have a 'Fan Site Kit' page but the old Herald does/did. It has the info you may be able to still use.

Some of the download links work.

I don't think they care, and I don't think anyone from your class will call the cops...

Well maybe the professor requires it since it is kinda breaking the law.

You can use them for reporting or for educational purposes. It is called "free use." You do not have to cite the origin, but it would be a good idea just from the standpoint that you don't want to take credit for ideas or artwork that you didn't create. That would be plagiarism. Cover both sides from the school's standpoint and cite the things you include.

Good recommendation, but don't fret too much about it. As someone else stated unless you're making money off if it don't worry.

Yes, this is not something I am doing for money or anything. But it may be posted somewhere for download in the future.

As of now it's a class project, but I am hoping to make it more than that in the future. My ambitions for it are high but, we'll see how I am after the class project is finished lol.

And as for the professor caring...I will only say that judging whats on his external hard drive, I don't think I have to worry. This is just a hobby class for me, doesn't have anything to do with my major, but I had to get some credit hours so thought I'd learn some stuff in animation. He told the class that this could go in a portfolio after the class etc (I don't see this happening as it's a basic entry level class) But if something like this were to end up in a portfolio of somekind, I just wanted to make sure all my bases were covered, and make sure that people knew it was not material I generated all by myself, but rather a collection of material gathered and influenced by the Dark Age of Camelot IP.
