What is the bare minimum quests you must to do be allowed to purchase the dragonslayer armor on mid? Do you have to kill Yar? On alb I did not have to kill a level 73 mob before being allowed to purchase the armor, it was all soloable by a paladin. The lack of updated information for mid's dragonslayer quest is killing me!

Buy the essences from the dragonscale merchant in jordheim. Go to svarhamr in malmhous. First make sure you have faction so you can get in their city. Turn in the essences to the NPC near entrance. Profit.

The only quest you have to do are the ones at the entrance of Svarhamr. I think it's only 2, which is killing Burr a level 50 mob and killing the green con missionaries. Once you do that, the svartalf won't be aggro to you and you can go purchase your slayer pieces with the item you buy with scales.

Actually, like all three realms, the only quest needed is the common ground quest.
Right at the entrance, level 35 quest; kill 3 missionaries, return and you have neutral faction... then with a stone you can talk to the lady near the entrance to the town wearing all DS armor to get as many pieces as you have stones.

If you are talking bare minimum without running those quests, it gets a bit more complicated.
Have to get faction (the Road to Svarhamr, A Letter Home), Battles in the Mist (pretty tough), Yar (Pretty tough); then a round of 4 baby dragons per armor piece... the stones are sooooo less complicated rofl!
