You've got a point there. The link goes to the complete version of the article on a separate page.
Which description would be better, 'Full Story'?
Perhaps I was not clear. Sorry if I was a bit muddled. The wording of the ‘MORE’ button is fine. I do not care if it says ‘MORE’ or ‘Full Storyâ€.
If the
"complete version of the article" is short enough to be fully displayed on the front of the Herald there is no need for a ‘MORE’ button or a ‘Full Story’ button because the
"complete version of the article" is already displayed.
Often when I press the ‘MORE’ button I find that the new page doesn’t have any additional information. If there is no additional information on the ‘MORE’ page there should not be a ‘MORE’ button or a ‘Full Story’ button because the full story is already displayed on the front of the Herald.
Even a one-line announcement on the Herald has a ‘MORE’ button that leads to the exact same one-line announcement. It is annoying to click ‘MORE’ (and it would be annoying to click ‘Full Story’) only to find that there isn’t any more to the story.
If there isn't any 'MORE' to the story then there shouldn't be a 'MORE' button or a 'Full Story' button.
If there isn't any 'MORE' to the story then the button should read, 'Click here to go to another page that has exactly what you have already read with nothing additional to read' and when there is actually more to the story then have a 'MORE' button.
Here is a good example of how the Herald is at the moment: Click here to get
'MORE' about this subject.
