im really tired of other games like wow, they just dont stand up to the pure pleasure of massive battles on multiple fronts. wow most of the pvp is arena or bg's. i really miss the roaming 8 mans and what not. sooo.... is it worth coming back? i know daoc's members have been on a steady decline, so is there enough people left where starting from scratch is worth it? also can anyone tell me what peak times are now? i mostly can only play in the mornings (like 9am EST).
i ferget what ever i was on, but i was part of the circle of elders alliance with feartorious and them. and also constantly 8 manned with cydcide (i think his name was). i do miss daoc alot but dont wanna waste my time if the game is really in hard core decline and not worth it especially since i cant play at night time due to work.

Not much 8 man left, it's pretty much a zergfest back and forth between all 3 realms. Starting up from scratch is much, much easier then it was years ago.

I would imagine if you were playing around 9 am est that would be Euro peak times which should be pretty steady.

The population is more active than it has been in several years. Starting from scratch is eaiser than ever; Repeatable BG quest will be the best way to level and make money along the way.

Early morning RVR isn't as zergy, but still has plenty of action. You'll be able to play 14 days for free which will give you more than enough time to hit 50 and get a taste of RVR. Welcome back.

The game is zergier than ever. It's really bad at the moment.

It's still fun and enjoyable at times, if you don't get too frustrated at getting zerged 8/10 runs.

The zerging is hell. I wish the population would drop back down to around 2 or 3 hundred. All these new people coming into the game are just making it worse.

DAOC was made for the 2001/2002 gamers. Not all these next generation gamers that want nothing but for this game to evolve. Damn them wanting something new put into DAOC. If it were up to me it would look like old school atari and take 10 to 20 seconds per swing and take 30min to an hour to get to a combat zone.
