Is CSR actually active in any way when it comes to banning cheaters? I appealed a player tonight(Infiltrator named Housewifee) for lag jumping to the top of a Hib held Caer Erasleigh.

So is there a way possible to actually get an appeal to stick? Would i have needed an actual screenshot of her breaking the rule to have any sort of chance to get this player banned.

Or is CSR completely broken and cheaters can keep on cheating away consequence free?

I don't know... but i've seen opposing factions moving faster than I can at speed 6, or fastest bg speed + sprint.... classes without speed.

I am pretty sure that their policy has always been that unless they catch the person in the act, there is nothing they can do about it. Screen shots/fraps from other players are not allowed as proof.

There was a guy in my group a few weeks back that lagged into a keep. A few minutes later a csr contacted him and said he had been appealed for lag jumping into the keep. The player said prove it, the csr couldn't, and all the csr did was nerf his last name.

That sounds like a fabrication. The CSR wouldn't contact him unless he had already witnessed him doing it and was informing him of his suspension/ban. You're right, though, generally CSRs don't ban people unless they catch them in the act. If you see someone cheating, appeal them. That's the best you can really do, though.

NOPE every hardcore cheater, macroer, plat farmer, rp farmer etc seem to be getting away with murder atm.

but i know plenty of legit players have been getting spanked on their pepe's lately for minor violations.

I can't say with 100% certainty that it happened as it was relayed via vent, but he did have a name worthy of appeal, and he changed it a few minutes later. So I believe the csr came to investigate, didn't witness the exploit, but saw the name and contacted him because of that.

In all fairness, are you taking SOS and Hastener speed+Sprint (faster than noob level speed buffs) into account?

So far though, unless they are flat caught cold, it is what it is. It ticks me off (Stand down Heretics, not you), but Cheaters cheat because they aren't good enough to win. Beating their 1s into 0s does wonders for that.

So in essence CSR is absolutely useless, what are the chances they will actually catch someone in the act when it occurs so damn fast. Very comforting

He doesn't even have a VN account so I can say whatever I want here hehe.

If it requires a 3rd party program, they dont have to witness you doing it to ban you.

Alot of 3rd party programs will flag on certain things. Speed hacking is a good example.

Player speed hacks, a flag is set off in the logs, CSR Super goes back and checks what the flag is for, banned.

Things that dont require a program, lag jumping, PvEing where mobs cant touch you, etc usually require a CSR seeing you. In alot of cases the CSR will inform you to stop in these instances before being suspended. The only exception that comes to my mind is duping, they would check the logs for some kind of repeated action that shouldnt be taking place.

Ive had accounts banned a month after I closed them. They dont have to see anything if they really want to ban you.

I have to make myself look bad so you have a reason to feel good about yourself~
If cheaters didnt win, noone would care that they were cheating~
