They are very insignificant, especially if pierce doesn't stack which I don't think it does. Even if it did the difference is only like 10 points of damage.
Thanes need acuity buff to be brought into line, or something that is a significant change. I know the class isn't going to get touched again before the game officially dies...so please make a meaningful change to the class.

no i'm pretty sure it doesn't stack, but you should be able to get other things in your template instead.
By definition you already have a problem with the class - they can't melee as good as other tanks, and if they are only casting then just get a caster instead. Sorry for stating the obvious. I'm just saying that I don't really know how to improve the class. Giving them a little more weapon and a little more magic damage is a good start, but you can only do that so much.
How do you think the class should be improved?

IDK, but the pierce that was given looks as a carbon-copy spell from Heretics. And if that's true, this free's up the need to template SP in, therefore allowing for more melee type items.
The endo buff appears to be stolen from Friars as well, which is nice...honestly I'm trying to measure this. Skalds still have their chant, from what I see. So, shaman endo buff+thanes buff+skalds chant...I can't fathom ever needing endo ever again.
The hammer rework and melee weapon skill realignment really boosts this classes ability to melee. I was very impressed with my testing with 101 strength, realm buffs, 10 dmg on the NPCs at Jord.
I don't think we need an acuity buff. That would be overpowered considered other realm hybrids don't get it either. Instead, if I was going to ask for anything else, I would ask for a debuff added into our single target nuke, and then I would really ask for a better RR5. Even mythics own explanation via window popups says it does 3000dmg ten "jumps". We all know that to be BS. And when I use it, I don't see any jumping...I see a rain of lightning hitting a few around my primary target. And usually it hits around 200-300 dmg on my first target. I really think if anything, our RR5 needs work.

sure RR5 should be reworked, but I don't think you should balance a class around its RR5.

The pierce buff is for templating purposes. Now Thanes don't need to fit pierce items in, which are primarily low utility items. This means they can work in a couple extra slayer pieces or some other more melee oriented gear while losing nothing in the casting department.
