I remember back in the day I used to burn the files from patches to cd cause I had a bad internet connection and hated re-downloading patches when I had to re-install or fresh install. When the time came It was a quick 5min select all copy and paste into the daoc directory. Is that still possible these days? I'm looking for cds to try it here tonight on a friends laptop cause It will take all night/morning to download and get into game even after installing classic/isle/toa. If anyone knows if this is still possible it would be cool to know, if not ill find out sooner or later once I track some cds down haha donno the last time I burned something!

yes you can just copy the contents of the directory.. either on a cd/dvd, or flash drive, or just copy over the network.

You can’t install Classic/SI/TOA/etc. . . from old install disks and then patch up. That will not work.

The old install disks do not work anymore. The full game is via the Free download install. The Free download install includes all expansions.

The complete game folder can be copied from computer to computer. The game can be run from a usb flash drive if you want.

Once the game is fully patched on one computer you can copy the game folder to as many other computers as you want. Then create a short cut to the camelot.exe file. Set up permissions and play the game.

So, you can backup the patched game folder to lots of CDs or easier still to a single USB drive and transfer the game folder to other computers simply by drag n drop. (USB drive or DvD are really the way to go when making a copy of the game folder).
