I am looking for a good farming duo, as in main acct/bot. Not really sure what is best for mid tho, I would assume the SM would have the same qualities as the chanter? or does their pet take too much dmg?

Just looking for something to farm scales or glass, when needed. The SM i'd have to level from scratch, but I have a 50 BD, haven't touched him in ages. BD good for farming as well?

SM's are a fantastic resource for farming, especially if you have a bot. BD's can do pretty well, also. If you need someone to farm with, I'm trying to get glass for MLs and plat for Katorii's soul ring on my RM. Just PM me and if I have some spare time (Just fyi, spare time is kind of rare these days) maybe I can help. Either way, you should be okay with a bot on either class. I hear Valks are pretty good at farming multiples as well, but you'd have to double-check on that one.

need a bit of quick cash, get ML9 on the BD.

I don't really play mid but I can tell you that much.

Only thing you have to consider, is whether to run a Healer or Shaman. Umm I don't even remember which one just got the new heal proc but i'm sure that makes a difference for focus pulling. SM has to be pet spec to focus pull though so specs aren't quite as important as they might be on a Chanter. Nevertheless, Shaman gives you nice specs, but Healer might have a few other advantages. Apparently even Valk/SM can work. I think Shaman is safest bet though.

SM/Healer.

SM spec 35 dark/41 summoning for lvl 50 pet (axe hand in malmo/adolescent salamander in ToA).

Healer is better than Shaman with an SM. SM summoning spec gives you spec str/con and d/q (slightly less delve than shaman), but in return you get spec AF, celerity, POM, stuns, mez, insta heals, speed, etc. Good spec is 44aug/22/22.

obv. healer bot shines when both characters are active, but with spec af alone, i bet healer + sm specs is better than shaman buffs for pet absorption.

edit: I don't even use FDS in Malmo since a ML9'd axe hand will 4-5 shot the purple Drakulvs. FDS only used for epic type mobs. If you do go with sham bot, you could go 35 dark/41 sup for lvl 50 charm and have second highest pbaoe and spirit debuff for sup nukes.

SM, BD, and Hunter (the pet classes) are the obvious choice.

Personally though, I've had no problems farming glass and scales quickly and efficiently as a 2h savage (rr7).

Well I got my hands on bros account so I now have 3 accts to play with. Just gonna play when he's not on.

I went with SM/Healer/Valk and so far so good. Healer heal proc works good, plus power regen, and valk HoT. I imagine the hot will lose some effectiveness over time at the later levels, but with the healer proc I think it will more than make up for it.

Should be easy to level up. I leveled a SM/Healer at same time a couple years ago - was tricky to aoe stun for pbaoe's, but you get used to it. Spec shield/mend with valk, pull with valk and self heal for aggro, and go to town with stuns/pbaoe.
