So I have the current version of DAOC on my home computer, but I'm looking to install it onto my laptop too. However, I don't really want to have to patch the whole thing again from scratch.

Are there certain files or directories that I can copy from my desktop to reduce the amount of data my laptop will have to download to patch to the current version?

Thanks.

Assuming win7/vista you can copy the whole daoc directory in /Program Files/Electronic Arts/ and your hotbar info is in [user folder]/AppData[this folder is hidden]/Roaming/Electronic Arts/[all files]

EDIT: If you have a 64bit version of windows DAoC will be in /Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/

Thx, I didn't know if there were certain files that shouldn't be copied over, certain system files or whatnot.

My desktop is Win 7 64 bit, but laptop is xp pro 32-bit.

The game is 32bit and the game folder can be copied from Win 7 64 to Win xp 32 just fine. Once copied just create a shortcut to the game exe file, set permissions and play the game.
