This question is about the focus that refers to mastery of focus and greater focal mythirians.

How do they stack.

For example, lets say that I have a level 25 dd and I get mastery of focus 7 to boost my dd to an effective level 50 for the purposes of outright resists. My understanding is that mastery of focus cant boost a spell over level 50. (Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.) Then lets say I get a GFM for fun so I can shoot spells at Draco or whatever. Does the GFM stack with MoF in such a way that my level 25 dd is now level 56 for the purposes of outright resists or does it just add 6 levels to the actual spell level which would put the dd at level 31 and, in that instance, wouldnt really help me.

Of course it would help in other instances even if it worked that way. Say I could have a level 47 focus pulse dd from a tic. I then get mastery of focus 1 to boost my sweet tic focus pulse dd to level 50 (for the purposes of outright resists), and I run around with my level 50 spell all the time and I use a greater power myth most of the time cos I'm usually shooting at yellows or other players or whatever. Then one day I decide to go solo Draco... I obviously need to break out my Greater Focal Mythirian on him. Then I could use it to boost my spell level (for the purposes of outright resists) to 53 (base 47 + 6 from GFM).

So does the GFM add to the actual spell level or does it add to the spell level + MoF levels (up to level 50). I've just never known the answer to this question and am curious. Anyone who knows and shares, that would be great.

My understanding is that MoF is limited to 50, but the GFM will take the spell level above 50.

in rvr you can't go beyond 50 spell level , in PvE and PvP MoF and GFM stack .
For Example , you got a level 47 focus spell and you bought focus1 + GFM . This Compination will boost your focus level to 47 + 3 + 6 = 56.
You can also notice the difference in dmg by hitting high level mobs with and without GFM.
