Personally, you would have to remove all PVP/Task Dungeons in game to have a healthy Frontiers. That means NO BG's,Labby,TD's,DF.
How about this, Remove Epic Dragon Zones in Classic and put that in New Frontiers. Talk about an insane Amazing PVP/PVE Experience. As of now, since New Frontiers came out it's DEAD and needs to be fixed.
That's my thoughts. What's yours?

I would agree with any who think that the TDs were a stupid thing to add to the game. Mythic needed to make existing leveling areas more relevant not less relevant but instead they added the TDs and made the existing leveling areas less relevant. BUT, the TDs are leveling areas and have
nothing to do with a lack of players in the Frontiers.
I also somewhat agree about the Labby. At a time when players were yelling at how the Frontiers spread out players far too much Mythic went and added considerable more area to the Frontiers in the form of the Labby. This was stupidly self-destructive of Mythic.
But for the BGs and DF, the BGs give players who would otherwise leave the game, a place to play when they just do not feel like going to the Frontiers or their Frontier group is not on. Sorry but NO, if you remove the BGs, most dislocated BG players will not flock to the Frontiers. When people log in and find that their Frontiers group is not in the game or if a player logs in and just does not feel like playing in the Frontiers but would really like a BG but the BG does not exist, what happens is the player just finds another game to play (Isolated exceptions do not change a general truth).
Very few players want to be in the Frontiers 100% of the time (Isolated exceptions do not change a general truth). The vast majority of players like to do different things at different times and for the game to be robust the game needs to let players have options.
Yes the BGs have players. That is true. The players that are in the BGs are in the BGs rather than the Frontiers because they do NOT want to be in the Frontiers at that time. Next time they log in though you very well may find that they are in the Frontiers. Then their next log in they may be in DF. Then their next log in they may be back in the BGs. Then the next log in they may be back in the Frontiers. Rather than moving players to the Frontiers 100% of the time, eliminating the BGs would likely cause those who love the BGs to simply leave the game.
DF was one of the really brilliant (accidentally brilliant) things Mythic added to the game. Unfortunately Mythic broke most of DF's benefit when Mythic added NF. DF is a great dungeon and should not be removed.
Forcing or funneling players into areas or into play styles is, to quote one of Steve Jobs often used phrases (paraphrased), “the dumbest F’ing thing I have ever heardâ€. Well perhaps not the worst suggestion but it is right down there with the 3 worst.
Sorry that my levity quoting Steve Jobs may seem harsh but the way to have a robust population is to have a game that allows players to explore and to find their own fun based on the players likes and dislikes. Forcing players into a play style is a design for the death of a game. Not that DAoC is doing great, but just because DAoC is already dieing through mismanagement is no reason to add more failing concepts on top of the silliness that has already been inflicted on the game/players.
For the game to thrive the game needs to embrace many diverse play styles. Limiting play styles will not fill the Frontiers. Limiting play styles will cause many of the few remaining players to get fed up and depart, which will harm the Frontiers not help it.
