It's been awhile since I've played DAoC and have recently considered re-subbing. I would only be playing in Thid and had a few quick questions:

1. Are Buff Bots still needed to be competitive?

2. I currently have several thid toons completely maxxed out (stat-wise), but my templates contain rings, amulets that are of much higher level than my toon and it is my understanding that a lot of those items will no longer apply bonuses to lower level chars. I am one of those people that like to have everything maxxed out, so my question, is by losing the bonuses to my accessory items, will I need to redo my whole template, or is it easier now with overcharging to max out all of your stats?

3. Is the action still fairly nice in Thid?

action is zergy in the main pvp bgs (thid,molvik now cathal) due to the new XP quests that were introduced. most accessories will work even after the item bonus patch, its the armor that sometimes does not work anymore. if your previous temp used level 31 armor rather than the 5th slot bonus armor that is level 51, then you should be fine.

oh and the buffbot issue is dead in thid, the npc buffer i think caps or is like 1 point off cap for everything. only brain buff would be lacking iirc since brain has no cap.

Actually if you were using high level RoG in your old templates, there is a good chance those RoG peices now have too high a bonus level and would fail to affect your character, so there is a good chance you will need to retemplate.


Mythic have added a lot of ToA stats to lower level items though, making it fairly easy to make a decent template, especially with the addition of the BP items you can now buy from NPC merchants in the BGs.
