I posted this on the mid caster forums but sometimes it can take a while to get a response...here's the question
I really can't settle on how high I should take PD or if I should take it at all. What do you RM's do in regards to tbis RA? I like the idea behind it but i also like the idea of being a glass cannon with high damage ra passives. I don't have the ranks to balance it out and play with a little of both, but again even if i did I'm not sure if its worth it. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Only worth it if you have MoC5 and LT. Also only if you smallman/solo with what i just mentioned.

I wouldn't spec PD on anything other than a melee tic, or a small man caster. If your zerging or 8 manning, just pre-kite and don't get hit in the first place. Heck even in a small man situation if your getting hit you've probably already lost.

Really only worth doing on a non-LT/heal caster if your points are in the transition states (like you don't have enough to buy a 5 point RA, but you also don't have enough to beef up a MoM/WP/AA/AD etc.), well it and stuff like Toughness.
Not really worth pumping a ton of points into on an RM, Wizard, Theurg, Eld, Chanter & high rank Sorc anyways.
I do love having it on my Bainshee though, PBaoe spec with high PD... tons of fun having people hit me for small amounts of damage while I pulse base for ridiculous amounts.

Actually don't run all that much tbh; not one of those cats who goes PD 7-9; Normally 4-6, I like using terrain/LoS and picking correct targets over sitting there UI'ing.

I don't get PD on anything. It's incredibly rare that I actually die to melee and nine times out of ten I can attribute it to player error or a situation where it wouldn't matter even if I had PD9.
