You can’t really expect anyone to diagnose your trouble based on such limited symptoms and absolutely no tech info? Based on the info you have given concerning the symptoms, your problem could be 10 to 20 different things.

I grabbed a modified magic 8 ball and it says that your trouble originates in a faulty ZX-81.

For better WAGs please give more info.

Computer make/model. Motherboard make/model. Ram. HDD info. Video card info. Modem info. ISP info. etc. . . .

The easiest way to compile most of the needed information is to run dxdiag. At the bottom of the dxdiag window will be an option to save the diagnostic test info. Save it. Then open the saved text file. Delete the info toward the top that has your name and such. Then copy and paste the report here. Yes it is big, copy and paste it all.

Then add your modem info, is your computer network wireless or wired, your isp info, info about the indications for the games performance meter just before LD and any other info you can think.

With all that info there are many who should be able to give suggestions.

Sounds like the memory leak windows7 problem with daoc.

Use Mojo. Without mojo I only get about 2hours 20minutes or so till I get an "out of memory" exception and LD out.

Some information about mojo can be found on this board.

Use Mojo...

DAOC's memory leak(s) can occur on any version of Windows. Mojo can postpone a crash due to memory leaks if you're using a 64-bit version but not a 32-bit version.

If DAOC displays an error message saying SmartHeap is out of memory, it's almost certainly a memory leak. If you don't see that message, it's still possible but less likely.

More info about "Launch DAOC as large-address aware"

Blow the cartridge.

Seriously though, do you lose your connection or is it just the game?
Do you go linkdead or does the game crash?

If it's just the game going linkdead, try mucking about with your firewall (or playing with it turned off) and see if that helps.

I recently had issues with games crashing because my antivirus program denied access to read certain things from the memory. Some games gave me an error message/log, others just shut down. Took me a while to figure that one out.
