the BCS system is so lame that it really discourages me from caring at all about a sport that is generally enjoyable to watch

Eh, College football is unwatcheable to me. After seeing the Packers every Sunday, watching the LSU Alabama game was just painful. The average player is just so bad. They all move slow they miss plays you shouldn't miss, etc. I mean, I understand they are still developing as players so I'm not ripping em, just saying I can't watch it.

It'd make a lot more sense to you if you went to a school with a good team. You get caught up in the hysteria and never really lose it after you leave.

add to that the underlying knowledge that there are tons of violations going on as well as a whole lot of people not getting paid for making corporations and universities millions and millions of dollars

There was an article I read a few months back that had the line "every national championship for the last decade is just waiting to be vacated." I do like how utterly corrupt the system is though. I mean everyone knows it, everyone screams about it, but nothing changes about it. Personally I want it to stay as corrupt as it is right now, cause it's entertaining to see all the drama unfold yearly about how this school did this illegally, that school deserved to get a shot at the national championship, etc etc. Good stuff.
