If economics and math weren't so damn interesting I think I'd be a materials engineer like that dude. Stuff like that is so cool. A few years ago I read about a material they had developed which was the complete opposite of that foam he is holding. If you dipped a 2 foot long cylinder into a cup of coffee within 2 seconds all of the material was the same temperature as the coffee. The stuff they have come up with as far as heat transfer applications, whether insulating or conducting, are just crazy.
