Sound Problem when using El Tank

I get severally amplified sound when AC is not my active window if I have tank checked in decal. It doesn't seem to matter if i'm in windowed mode or full screen.
Any ideas?
I'm using:
Tank 2.6.0.20 beta4
Decal 2.6.1.0
Windows XP, SP2

Thats correct. ELTank tricks AC into thinking it's still the active application when it's not.
