Installed Decal 3.0 Alpha 3

Upgraded VS2005 and NET 2.0 from beta to release version

Uninstalled Decal

~~ I still have a Decal 3.0 entry in Add or Remove Programs ~

Edit the registry right? no problem - but there is no Decal entry anywhere in my registry.

Search registry, search entire system - keyword 'Decal' and 'Decal3.0' pops up nothing.

Ran Add/Remove4Good and it does not detect the bad Decal3.0 entry in my Add or Remove list.

really weird.

you could try loading decal again and remove it sometime that works or as a last thing you could do is format and reload that will get rid of it . But i hate reloading EVERYTHING!

Same issue im afraid.. I believe it was because I forgot to uninstall alpha 3 before I installed alpha 4 (was sleepy and stupid)

at any rate, im due to re-do my system to acommmodate a new HD and a move from xp home to pro... so it will take care of itself

[edit] I could be wrong though, I may have actually uninstalled alpha 3... I just honestly cant remember :/

Yes re-format...haven't done that in a while. Must be getting older and lazier.

When I ran Windows 1898 I used to reformat every 6 month religiously.

Windows XP has been rock solid for me, but any system needs a fresh-up once in a while.

Maybe this weekend.

I had the same problem, and it was because I uninstalled .NET before I uninstalled Decal. I just did a system restore though and then did it in the right order

Sounds like you already fixed it, but everything in your add/remove programs list is in your registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Uninstall. It'll be listed by a key, not the name, but you can figure out which program it refers to by looking at DisplayName. It's not a clean way to do it, but you can always delete those registry entries to remove things from your add/remove programs list.
