I've got good checks on all aspects of Decal, except that one item. I've done an uninstall, manually delete files, shut down, fresh install of all items, but that one thing still remains. What am I missing?

your problem seems to be that you haven't read any of the ACDev forum (or the sticky posts there).


check the User to User forum, and do a Search. You'll find something.

cruel wouldn't it have been quicker to mention that the version one plugin is supposed to be red?


or is this about give a man a fish feed him for a day teach him to fish feed him for a lifetime?


which of course is bunk since somedays you don't catch squat.

OK, I checked the forums and found this-


this is not an 'issue' exactly, but it comes up frequently so I'll make a note here:


the Version 1 Plugin Surrogate is supposed to have a red X next to it. in previous versions of Decal, this component provided support for 'v1' plugins. Decal 3 no longer supports 'v1' plugins, therefore the Version 1 Plugin Surrogate has been permanently disabled.

that is not the solution, nor does it actually DO anything.


the correct answer is... it is SUPPOSED to have a red x in it.
