Name another wave to the same name as the gong wave, then stick it in the same folder and overwrite it.

Copy any sound file to the VCS directory, then change your action so that it points to that sound file. As many sounds as you want may be put in the VCS directory and played as actions. This may help:

Try putting something random as a doaction for that action number and see if it does it. If it doesn't, it's a problem with your filters. If it does, you didn't put the sound file in your directory and the exact name of it in the soundfile box.

sound file = <newgong>.wav (name of the new sound file in the VCS directory
click add
Filter tab:

I'm actually currently working on an out of game configuration wizard to handle all this for you, for those that would rather answer simple questions and have it spit out a working config file. The plugin itself will not change in that respect, though.

I did the steps mentioned above. I did manage to get it to not make any sound at all, but when i tried to change it it still makes the gong sound. I have no clue why it will not allow me to change it. I use find it and do not have the problem with using my own wav files. Oh well, Im sure it is something I am doing wrong. Thanks for all the help.
