faile had one before ToD was called Bandit Monarch was wonderin if this been considered by anyone to do again as am lookin to do a tree for monarchy and a rank tree as well


dunno if it could be done but curious if anyone thought bout doin sumthin like this again as would save from gettin carpel tunnel writin everyone all out in a 6k+ monarchy

Not sure if I'll have the time right now to do something like this, but could be a good way to learn some C#/XML programming. I have an XML schema in my head for a layout. No promises, and nothing anytime soon, but I'll make a mental note of this.

If I do it it would be as an XML file. You could then use a XSL stylesheet to format it the way you want to in a web page.

Hmm that's funny. I wrote a plugin that does this about 5 months ago, to map out a large portion of my allegiance. It scans the tree (or a portion of it), records rank, race, name, vassals and patron of everyone it finds. The tree can be saved as XML. Autosave works and it's possible to pause/resume scanning.

I think it was used only twice, but I checked the source and its still working. It's written in C# using Visual Studio 2005. I don't have the time to continue working on it, but perhaps someone is willing to? I've put the source below.

The main thing that's missing in the plugin is loading an existing tree and resuming its scan. Shouldn't be hard to add. I know that the race detection isn't 100% correct, but I don't think it can be improved.
