i have been trying to get decal to work but nothing

I can't help you, but I'm pretty sure that a description of what is happening, or not happening would help. ie error messages, actions, etc

Looks like you haven't updated yet - don't use the update button, go to decal homepage http://www.decaldev.com/ and download the Decal Utility - use that instead of the update button.
