Now I don't care if whoever might pick this idea up adds or alters this idea at all, but that's the reason I'm posting.


I find it to be really annoying to have to page over to a different window and then scroll down an entire list of spells when I'm trying to find out how much time is left on my rares. I was hoping that some talented person out there might have some free time one day to play around with the idea. I'm willing to donate all my spear rares on LC to someone testing a plugin for this (of which we have six).


I'd be happy if all it had was a stationary timer counting down on screen, but there's other ideas for someone who wants to have fun with it as well. Lets say having the clock show as a selectable color and turning another selectable color when a spell only has X seconds left. Why not play an alarm sound when there's only like 5 seconds left. I know that would help me a ton when tinkering with rares because I wouldn't spend so much time checking back and forth when I could just be slapping things together.

The time it takes to scroll over and down is time subtracted from the hot burning rare gem.


I would like to see a big red 'ol HUD timer where you can't miss it, showing the time spinning down from 15. Maybe some sound too, like a beep or sonar sound at 1 secound intervals.


Needs functionality to deal with 1, 2, or 3 rares and the time you have to wait to crunch the 2nd and 3rd gems - and then show the appropriate time remaining from the first gem - for those 3-gem tinks you sometimes needs to do.


EDIT: Also, how about a neat window that shows which attribute rares go with each tink skill, allow you to drag the gems into windows or boxes, hit 'start', and auto-crunch the gems right on the crunch timer, and then show the countdown timer on the HUD. Starting to sound like a nice feature to a Tinker program eh?

Tings has it now.


I've tested only with Brill but it should handle rares ok.


Just have to enable "Rare Timer" in Huds when you want it to work.

By default it will be off each time you get IG.


Shows time in Yellow and goes to red if any time is less then 5 seconds.

It also beeps when any times fall below 5 seconds.


Hopefully this gets you by for now.

I've tried everything I can think of to get Tings to display the timer on screen. I've tried popping a regular rare with no brill, a rare with brill already on, bill and then using the rare, holding the focus stone, not holding the focus stone, selecting all options in the plugin, and even running Tings with no other plugins. Nothing I've tried has made a timer show up on screen.


Any ideas?

And here I thought you got it working after not seeing a PM from you in a bit.
