is there any way to use the msn messenger while in game or not. and also how do you make it so that you can see your taskbar on the screen or can you?

Not at the moment. There used to be an ACMSN plugin, but it required "Windows Messenger" that comes with XP, instead of "MSN Messenger" that you download. I believe that was because Microsoft in their infinite wisdom removed the API from MSN Messenger.

Use windowed mode, or alt-tab from fullscreen mode.

looks promising..
if that is what it says it is, and is basically a .NET Assembly for MSN access in .NET, it would be trivial to make a plugin which utilizes that "MSN assembly" for MSN access... just have to tie it in properly.
