If I have imp inventory running happens just about everytime. If only have tank going I can reduce the times get acclient error if I pause about 5 to 10 seconds after getting to character screen before I attempt to bring on next toon.

Note: Post your Decal export here first as there may be quicker things that are getting you booted. We'll try to give you suggestions after that, but if that doesn't work for you, you can always try to find the problems yourself.


1. Turn off decal.


2. Log in and out a few times and check if you get booted.


3. Turn on decal and turn off every plugin but one.


4. Log in and out a few times and check if you get booted.


5. Turn off that plugin, turn on another


6. Log in and out a few times and check if you get booted.


7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until you have tested each plugin a few times


8. Write down each plugin that seems to boot you and try reading each of their sites, forums, etc. Is anyone else experiancing similar problems or is there a fix already posted. If all else fails, Ctrl+Alt+Delete irl, there's a patch copy of Decal Alpha 7 coming out eventually.

Yes, usually after I see an error message when logging out the prior account. Probably caused by some plugin / process not shutting down completely on exit. Giving processes a little extra time (the 5-10 second pause mentioned above) can help processes that need a little extra time, but won't help those processes that never shut down properly.


This could also be a race between different plugins.

i have this problem every time i go to switch characters when using el tank. so i just shut it off now unless im looking for a blackmire chest. i do believe they know about this because i have seen it posted somewhere on here before.

I don't use Tank, or Imp Inventory and I never have this issue. While I can force it to happen by trying to switch characters too quickly, (without Decal running you'd get an error message saying your character is still in the game and to wait a while) I simply count to 5 when changing chars, and never crash. So, if you don't run the plug-ins listed as potential culprits, try waiting for a slow count of 5 between characters, and see if that helps.
