Im running decal with ltx and muletrader. Just today, everytime I try to log in, I click on HG, then I get a black screen. Bring up Task Manager and "Asheron's Call Throne of Destiny: Not responding". Could this be because of decal? Maybe the authentication servers they just messed with? Anyone gimme some help here? Oh, I keep getting a DirectX error also and AC crashes. Any advice will be appreciated.


~Edit~ I just turned off decal, and now i can log in just fine. What do i have to do to be able to log in with decal? If an export list will help, lemme know and ill post it on here.

you should almost always post an export.. whether you think it might help or not.. It saves us from having to ask you, and it saves time in that we don't have to ask you and wait until you post it.


As for the problem, try disabling LifeTank and Darkside Filter and see if you still have the same problems. If it is indeed a Lifetank issue, then disabling LifeTank should fix the problem.

It sounds like you're missing some prerequisites for Decal and/or one of the plugins to work. Disable all the plugins and leave decal on and try to launch AC. It should only display a blank Decal bar IG. If you still have problems, you forgot to install something. If you don't, and it starts when Lifetank is enabled, then you still forgot to install something =)

It may or may not help, but you should update your video card drivers, they are over 2 years old now.

there is NO reason to be running muletradeit and el/life-tank at the same time.


FYI over time muletradeit gobbles up memeory and doesn't release it so every 18 to 24 hours you have to shut down and restart or it's memeroy just continues to grow. E.G. when i start up tradeit and minimize it's running about 48-75K of memory. 24 hours later it's up to around 225K.


couple that with known memory hogs like el/life-tank and decal in beta needing massive amounts of memory and yeah you're asking for trouble.
