I have noticed something screwy about this - I can't figure out if it's by design; IE:
Turbine - we will help you Decal Guys with the monthly prop and client data (specifically the MEMLOCS) in exchange for you making Lifetank get all screwy with tracking Ninjas
Plug In Devs - You Got it!
Or:
If it's something simply screwy, but not by design.
Or:
If it's something Turbine did WITH the Ninja's to make them difficult for any plug-in to detect.
Or:
I am the only one seeing this problem, so my machine must be borqed.
What is happening, is this:
I can manually enter all of the Tanada Shoujen Nan-jou data into the Lifetank monster database. I make them vulnerable to acid, set it up to vuln ONLY them, and attack them with acid. I ensure that default damage is not forced to bludgeon or anything else for that matter. I set their priority higher than any other creature in the dungeon I am hunting in.
It works perfectly too... once, twice, sometimes even three times. Ninja's spawn, Lifetank stops whatever it was doing and shifts to them, acid vulns them, acid blast them till they're both dead, then, switches back to what it was doing before.
After that 3rd Ninja spawn it's a crapshoot. After that Lifetank almost never recognizes them, usually going on it's merry way and completely ignores them. I sit and watch my guy die sometimes, just seeing if Lifetank will register their existance at all. When this happens, and it does with alarming frequency (Ignore Ninjas and die), I go in and check everything. Yup, they're still in the database, yup, they're still the higher priority, yup, they're still supposed to be vulned by acid and killed with said element. But guess what? Lifetank simply stops doing it.
Now what fixes this for me:
If I completely delete them from the Monsters Database, and re-enter them, then stop and restart Lifetank, "sometimes" it will recognize them again. Mind you, I didn't change anything - they are entered the exact same way they were entered before. I say sometimes, as this has worked two, or three times straight and then not worked at all for a week, then worked again a couple days later, seemingly without pattern.
When that doesn't work, then I leave game and re-enter - this usually resets whatever problem this is.
Bringing me full circle to a question:
Have you, the developers of the various detection and now ONLY combat plug-in been bought off? Have you put things IN your plug-ins to either ignore, or substantially inhibit the capabilities of the plug-ins from detecting and combatting the Ninjas? Have you been "told" to do so? IE: By Turbine?
Or, is this truly some kind of mutant glitch I, and only I am seeing?
I remain curious.
