Is there a trick to getting the items from your tradebot's main pack to display in that specific order for the buyers, instead of showing up in a seemingly random order?


I'd like to put all swords next to each other, then all axes, all UAs etc and have them show in the trade window for the customer in that order.

i only have salvage and i sort it with sortIt! and typically shows up in that order. now if things get laggy no telling how it will show up.

Wierd. I have everything sorted (manually) in my main pack the way I'd like it to appear, but when the trade window is opened and the items placed in it, the items are all jumbled up.

No, I didn't check that option.


Its strange because I know many bots will display their items in groups (weapons, jewelry etc) and then other bots look like their mule exploded with how random and jumbled up the items are. I know whenever I shopped at them I'd think "Geez, why not take the 10 minutes to arrange the items in some sort of order...", I guess now I know why - that its not the bots being "lazy" but the items most likely are sorted on the bot, but when they plop into the trade window they scramble up.


I'm surprised nobody else has posted asking this question (I did look through older posts), I just wanted to make it a little easier on people shopping at my bot.

Order in pack has very little to do with order in trade window. Updates can essentially be received and processed in any order, although if your pack is sorted, chances are better that it will be shown in order, but no guarantees. Sometimes closing and reopening the trade window can get you a better sort, since the client already 'knows' about the items.

i like the alphabetical option since it is at least always going to be same. and it does manage to sort all salvage side by side that way as well as other similiarly named items such as scrolls etc.

Plus if i'm looking for something with a specific name, I know where to look.
