i just installed ac dm, the game will not start up the reason given is that i have a direct x issue..anyone can offer help in this area?..thanks..=)

The first two things that come to mind:
1) Are you sure you have DirectX 9.0 C installed?
2) What video card are you using? Some cards will not work.
