Decal Info
Sixth Sense is a plug-in for Decal, written in C++ by Madar al-Aziz of Harvestgain. Significant code and idea contributions have come from Heysun, also of Harvestgain. Sixth Sense acts as an extended radar for Asheron's Call, giving you notification and coordinates of a configurable set of items and monsters through the Decal UI.

Version 2.8.3 is now available in the download area. It includes some requested changes including things that have been anoying me while I play. Most changes are to adapt to in game features added by turbine while I was away.
Sixth Sense window location is now remembered. I got tired of moving the window every time I loged in
Sixth Sense will no longer ID missile weapon ammo. I got tired of Tank spewing error messages about every arrow. No need to ID all them arrows anyhow.
Added an option to require more than 1 spell be a selected level in order to notify. For example, you can now say a shirt or jewelry item now must have 2 or more level 6 spells to qualify
Moved casting implement options to a new Foci tab where you can set bonuses for Conversion, Melee D, Missile D, Magic D, and workmanship. Mix and match how you like to find the wands you want. As a warning, I didnt test it on non real numbes (like 1.5 for magic D) so it may round up or down. I suggest sticking to whole numbers.

Minor bug fix associated with how Sixth Sense ranks items it finds. There was an issue where it would rank major/minor items below salvage or value due to ID queue times. Version 2.8.2 now properly places minor/major items top priority, then salvage, then value.

Madar is off playing other games, but I came back to play AC again so I updated Sixth Sense for the changes in the protocol that broke it. Version 2.8.1 has no new features, but most should be working again. I am still testing detection of weapons and magic casting items for the configuration criteria. Let me know if you find any issues either on VN with a PM to Heysun or mail me here.
2/12/2004 What? Can this be? Yep, an updated version of Sixth Sense is available on the download page. Version 2.8.0 is primarily a bugfix release. The order of some of the fields in the object creation message had changed, and a couple fields had been removed / added / moved around. Thanks much to Heysun for doing most of the legwork on getting things working again. The only new 'functionality' is performance related - Sixth Sense no longer needs to ID items to detect things based on value / burden ratio. I've reactivated one of my accounts in order to do some testing, and things do appear to be working fine again.
For the curious, I have been (and still am) playing Everquest again - it keeps pulling me back in. If AC does wind up releasing a graphics engine upgrade in a future expansion, odds are good that I will return - until then, probably not.

Hope that helps.
