Now that I have given up on Lt for looking for objects the lag is better.

But, Alinco (so far) is lacking one feature that LT had. I could put in a partial name in LT and have it find ALL them items, like Fallen for ANY fallen critters, Plant for ANY plant.

Is there a way in Alinco that it will do this? I have experimented with different combinations, but so far, no success.

I have Plant in alinco and it works fine for me. I had to capitalize the P for some reason, but it does work. Make sure you uncheck "exact match".

Hmm, where did you put the word "Plant"? I';ve tried that as well, and have made sure exact match us unchecked.

go back and click on the item in the list and make sure 'exact match' is still unchecked.

Umm yea, but I don't use Ltx and even when I WAS using it, I was not doing ACM or UCM, I only used it for looking for items

When you add an item to Alinco, the EXACT MATCH button is always enabled by default, even if you uncheck it before you hit Add. I made the mistake of trying to uncheck the exact match box at item addition, but found I had to go back after the items was added and uncheck it then.
