Asheron's call suddenly crashes to desktop with this warning:

"ACClient has stopped working."


I can get about 2-3 hours out of decal when the game just crashes. I'm pretty sure it's related to the use of Decal. I run AC and Decal both as Administrator.


Windows says that it will notify my if a solution is available. One specific time it gave me a message relating to upgrading my video drivers, which I didn't have time for at that moment. How can I find this solution again?


Sometimes I will get another message when AC crashes that is relating to Directx 9.0. I have the correct directx version but it tells me to make sure that I do...?

Open Decal, click Export, and paste that here.


You can get the latest drivers for your video card from:

NVIDIA cards: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

If you don't know what card you have, the Decal export will say and I can give you a direct link to the download.


I'm not sure if getting the latest drivers will help, but it (probably) won't hurt. In any case, the export will give lots more info to help figure out what's wrong.

With LifeTank running, 2-3 hours isn't bad from what I've heard.


*shrug*

Decal plugins, and especially GoArrow, use a fair amount of video memory. It appears that you're running on a laptop and your video card uses shared system memory (instead of dedicated graphics memory). It's possible that after a few hours of playing, AC is using enough system memory that there's not enough left for the graphics card. I'm not sure exactly how graphics cards with shared memory work, so this might not be right... but if it is the case, you might try installing more RAM, or using a desktop computer instead of a laptop.


You can also try updating your graphics drivers. Usually with laptops, you have to go to the laptop manufacturer's site to get the latest drivers. I did find a driver download from Intel's site for your video card, but check your laptop manufacturer's support site before using this link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2301

ive been gettin same thing on my desk top and it goes through sprees. I go month or 2 it running fine and bout time they do a patch/hot fix like the last couple im back to crashing every 2-3 hours. and i know its LTX cause i run decal on the other machine 24/7 and it never crashes just running the bot programs
